We are looking for a Lead Nurse to join the team working with Learning Disabilities in an exciting new role based across Oxfordshire. You will be a qualified nurse with a passion for improving health outcomes for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. You’ll combine hands‑on nursing expertise with a focus on quality, medication safety, and person‑centred practice.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading on complex health support and ensuring personalised support plans are accurate and up to date.
  • Building strong links with hospitals, GPs, and specialists, making sure people have positive healthcare experiences.
  • Overseeing medication audits, spot checks, and staff competency assessments.
  • Promoting health and wellbeing initiatives, including diet, nutrition, hydration, mobility, and epilepsy care.
  • Monitoring and acting on changes in physical and mental health needs.
  • Using data and audits to drive continuous improvement in health quality.

Skills:

  • NMC‑registered nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD).
  • Experience supporting people with complex health needs.
  • Strong understanding of medication management and audits.
  • Confident working with multidisciplinary teams and external health professionals.
  • Passionate about person‑centred care and empowering people to manage their own health.
