How to prepare for a job interview at Completely Care Recruitment Consultants

Know Your Stuff

Before the interview, brush up on your knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines. Familiarising yourself with these will show that you’re serious about providing high-quality childcare and that you understand the framework you'll be working within.

Show Your Passion

During the interview, let your genuine interest in working with children shine through. Share any relevant experiences, whether it's babysitting, volunteering, or even just your own childhood memories that inspired you to work in childcare. This will help the interviewer see your commitment to the role.

Be Ready for Scenarios

Expect to be asked about how you would handle specific situations in a nursery setting. Think about examples where you've dealt with challenges, such as managing behaviour or ensuring safety during playtime. Having these scenarios ready will demonstrate your problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Ask Questions

At the end of the interview, don’t forget to ask questions! Inquire about the nursery's approach to child development or how they support their staff. This shows that you’re not only interested in the job but also in the environment you’ll be working in, which is crucial for a Nursery Assistant.
