We are seeking an experienced and confident Registered Nurse to work on an agency basis within a residential children's service in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role supporting children and young people with complex health needs, while working flexibly through agency placements. This role provides clinical leadership, ensuring safe, high-quality, and evidence-based nursing care. You will lead and support a team of nurses, maintain regulatory compliance and inspection readiness, and work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical leadership and oversight of nursing practice
- Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care to children and young people
- Lead, support, and mentor nursing staff, promoting best practice
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and maintain inspection readiness
- Work in partnership with families, carers, and external professionals
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and clinical documentation
- Support safeguarding processes and promote a safe care environment
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RNLD/RMN) with active NMC registration
- Degree-level qualification in Nursing
- Proven experience working with children and young people with complex needs ideal but not essential
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, CQC standards, and clinical governance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
