ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for caring, reliable and experienced Residential Support Workers to join our agency team, supporting children and young people across residential services in Surrey and the surrounding areas.
You will be supporting children and young people who may have autism, learning disabilities, complex needs and additional support requirements, using a person-centred approach to help them feel safe, valued and empowered.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping young people develop confidence, independence, communication and life skills, while providing consistent and compassionate day-to-day support.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support to children and young people.
- Supporting daily routines, personal care and activities where required.
- Promoting independence, confidence and life skills.
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
- Encouraging participation in activities and community opportunities.
- Building positive and trusting relationships.
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records and providing effective handovers.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.
- Promoting a safe, respectful and nurturing environment.
ABOUT YOU
