Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support with daily living tasks, including personal care and household responsibilities, ensuring individual needs are fully met.
  • Offer companionship and emotional reassurance to help reduce loneliness and promote overall wellbeing.
  • Encourage and support individuals to maintain independence by accessing community activities, social opportunities, and appointments.
  • Safely assist with mobility and transfers using approved Moving and Handling techniques, prioritising dignity, safety, and comfort at all times.
  • Support individuals who may present challenging behaviours with a calm, respectful, and professional approach, maintaining a safe environment.
  • Motivate and empower clients to work towards their personal goals and aspirations, enhancing confidence, purpose, and quality of life.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 6 months UK-based experience as a support worker.
  • Practical Manual Handling Certificate.
  • Experience or confidence in working with challenging behaviour.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a strong desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.
  • Reliable and flexible, with a willingness to work varied shifts and locations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and judgment to respond to client needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
