Our client is recruiting a confident, friendly and motivated Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join a mobile Health MOT service operating across Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and is passionate about promoting health, wellbeing and healthier lifestyles. The role involves delivering preventative health checks to adults aged 18 and over in workplaces, community settings and a mobile health unit, helping individuals better understand their health and access appropriate support. We welcome applications from Healthcare Assistants, Health and Social Care Workers, Beauty Therapists, Aesthetic Therapists and other health, fitness or wellbeing professionals with relevant qualifications or experience. You do not need previous experience delivering Health MOTs, as full role-specific training and competency assessments will be provided before you work independently. Key Responsibilities Deliver Health MOT appointments across workplace and community settings throughout Oxfordshire. Record health measurements accurately, including blood pressure, height, weight, BMI and waist circumference. Carry out approved health and wellbeing assessments covering lifestyle, physical activity, smoking, alcohol consumption and mental wellbeing. Explain results clearly and sensitively, helping participants understand their health and identify realistic ways to improve their wellbeing. Provide brief lifestyle advice using approved approaches, including Making Every Contact Count (MECC). Signpost participants to appropriate support services, including GPs, pharmacies, smoking cessation, weight management, physical activity and mental health services. Recognise concerns that require further support and follow the appropriate escalation, safeguarding and emergency procedures. Maintain accurate and confidential digital records, ensuring high standards of hygiene, infection prevention and equipment safety. Work independently within approved protocols and your assessed level of competence. Drive the mobile health unit to different service locations where required and participate in ongoing training, supervision and competency reviews. What We Are Looking For
