Looking for a role where you can genuinely change a young person's life? Completely Care is recruiting Residential Support Workers to support children and young people living in residential homes across Oxfordshire. The young people you will support may have a range of needs, including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), autism, learning differences, trauma backgrounds, attachment needs, and other complex needs. Every day is different, but your support can make a lasting impact on a young person's confidence, wellbeing, and future.
The Role
- Help create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Support with daily routines, activities, education, and appointments.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and life skills development.
- Manage challenging behaviour using positive and therapeutic approaches.
- Support young people with emotional wellbeing and regulation.
- Follow care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Promote safeguarding and welfare at all times.
- Work as part of a dedicated team to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential.
- A caring, resilient, and patient approach.
- An interest in supporting young people with EBD, autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, waking nights, and sleep-ins.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
