We’re recruiting enthusiastic, reliable and passionate Supply / Cover Teachers in Sunderland to support primary schools on an agency basis.
Whether you’re looking for regular teaching work, a bit more flexibility or the opportunity to experience different school environments, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a varied and rewarding role.
As a Supply Teacher, you’ll step into the classroom, deliver engaging lessons and keep pupils motivated, supported and focused on their learning. You’ll help maintain a positive classroom environment, follow lesson plans where provided and ensure children continue to enjoy a productive day, even when their usual teacher is away.
No two days need to be the same! You’ll have the opportunity to work across primary year groups, build relationships with different school teams and make a real impact on pupils’ education.

Required Skills & Experience
We’re looking for teachers who are:
- Qualified teachers with relevant primary teaching experience
- Passionate about education and helping children reach their potential
- Confident managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour
- Adaptable and comfortable stepping into different classroom environments
- Reliable, organised and able to use their initiative
- Engaging, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
You’ll need to hold the relevant teaching qualifications and have the confidence to deliver lessons and support pupils across a primary school setting.
