We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Support Worker to join your Supported Living services in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate care professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership within health and social care.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting adults with Learning Disabilities within Supported Living settings. You will work closely with a dedicated team of Support Workers, providing shift leadership, operational support, and high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and overseeing shifts within Supported Living services
  • Supporting and deputising for the Service Manager and On‑Call Team
  • Coordinating staff rotas and completing staff supervision and assessments
  • Promoting independence and enhancing quality of life for people supported
  • Planning activities, trips, and community engagement opportunities
  • Ensuring care plans and support documentation are followed and maintained

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in support work or social care, ideally within Learning Disabilities
  • An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Experience leading shifts or mentoring staff (highly desirable)
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding, person‑centred care

Leadership Development Programme

You will have access to a comprehensive 6‑month Leadership Development Programme, designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to progress into management roles. Successful candidates can progress to Assistant Support Manager within 18 months.
