Role Overview
Please note this is a fixed-term contract running from July 2026 to August 2027.
The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Marketing team by assisting in the creation of visual assets across digital and print media. Working under the guidance of the Senior Designer, you will gain experience in various design projects and develop your skills in layout, typography, and brand consistency. The role requires creativity, a strong eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and grow with the Marketing team.
What You'll Do
- Creative Design & Execution
- Design Production: Be responsible for creating visual content for various platforms, such as social media, email templates, websites, and marketing collateral, ensuring designs meet project needs.
- Collaboration & Feedback: Actively collaborate with senior designer and marketing team members, incorporating feedback to improve their skills while contributing to brainstorming sessions for creative campaigns.
- Trend Awareness & Skill Development: Stay up-to-date with current design trends and advancements in design tools, fostering continuous growth and creativity.
- Execution & Innovation: Explore new design approaches and use performance analytics to refine designs for better audience engagement and project outcomes.
- Brand Management
- Adherence to Brand Standards: Play a crucial role in ensuring all visual content aligns with established brand guidelines and quality standards, maintaining consistency across all outputs.
- Asset Maintenance: Assist in organising and maintaining design files, templates, and visual assets, making them easily accessible for the marketing and wider team to streamline workflows.
- Brand Development: Contribute creative ideas to enhance the brand’s visual identity.
- Quality Control: Perform initial quality checks to ensure outputs meet brand expectations and assist in reviewing externally created materials for compliance with brand standards.
- Design Execution
- Testing and Refining: Help test across all platforms on various devices to identify and address issues related to visual layout, such as scaling, alignment, and font readability.
- Collaboration with Wider Teams: Assist the marketing team with working closely with developers, analytics and digital teams to ensure that designs integrate seamlessly into digital platforms and align with the overall user experience goals.
- Website & Digital Design Optimisation: Help ensure that images and media assets are optimised for fast loading times, contributing to overall website performance. Ensure that the designs work well across different screen sizes and resolutions, making adjustments for mobile, tablet, and desktop views.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Office-based — candidates must be within comfortable commuting distance of Romsey, Hampshire. Following a successful probation period, some home working flexibility (2–3 days per week) may be available.
