We are currently recruiting for a Service Contracts Manager for a market leading capital equipment manufacturing and service business within the FMCG Industry who install and service their equipment across sites in the UK and Ireland. This is a permanent role that has been created due to planned expansion and progressive business plan over the next 5 years. The successful candidate will have a technical background with experience in managing service contracts and interfacing with both internal stakeholders and clients to ensure contracts are managed and any sales/service opportunities are explored. A proactive mindset is a must!
Candidates will ideally have a technical background in mechanical/electrical engineering with experience working within automated/fast paced manufacturing environments. Experience of working on large scale production equipment is highly advantageous. This is a full time role based in Winsford working on site 37.5 hours per week. This role would ideally suit a candidate with a demonstrable maintenance background who has experience in managing after sales service contracts.

Job Description- Contract Ownership & Governance
- Own full delivery of service contracts, ensuring obligations are understood, planned, and met.
- Support contract interpretation and alignment across internal teams.
- Customer Interface & Relationship Management
- Act as primary operational contact for contract customers.
- Lead regular customer meetings and contract reviews.
- Communicate service plans, progress, and performance clearly.
- Manage expectations proactively and escalate risks when needed.
- Punch List & Action Management
- Own and manage customer punch lists and action logs.
- Drive timely action closure with clear accountability.
- Track progress against agreed timelines and priorities.
- Ensure punch list closure supports uptime and customer outcomes.
- Service Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate planned maintenance, inspections, follow-up actions, and multi-visit tasks.
- Work with Service Coordinators and Engineers to ensure correct scheduling, execution, and closure.
- Protect planned work from reactive disruption and ensure delivery aligns with contract expectations.
- Proactive Service Development
- Support the shift toward proactive service by balancing planned vs reactive work.
- Contribute to lifecycle contract delivery and continuous improvement.
- Link service activity to performance, reliability, and uptime.
- Use customer insight and service data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Act as the link between service, spares/parts, and commercial/finance teams.
- Maintain accurate records of contract performance, actions, and commitments.
- Provide structured updates on contract health, risks, and priorities.
- Ideally qualified in a technical discipline (Mechanical or Electrical) with experience of working in fast paced production/FMCG environments.
- Experience of managing service/maintenance contracts.
- Proactive mindset.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Willing to travel as required to sites in the UK and Ireland.
