Due to recent company growth and increase in workload we are looking for an experienced Valve Fitter/ Tester to join a leading business based near Brighouse. This role provides the opportunity to work for an industry leading business on a range of products. The successful candidate MUST have demonstrable experience working with a range of valve instrumentation, piping, calibration of positioners, actuator setting and function testing. Candidates must be time served in a relevant discipline with a Full UK Driving License.

Hours - 37 hours - condensed working week - Monday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday (0700 - 1645)

Role Description
  • Fit and assemble valve instrumentation and pipework along with calibration of positioners and setting of actuators.
  • Perform functional testing and inspection of valves to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment and tools.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff and apprentices as needed.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Candidates will ideally be time served in relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience with various valves and actuators including calibration of positioners and setting of actuators.
  • Ability to accurately read, review and interpret manufacturing designs, drawings and schematics.
  • Experienced in testing of valves, actuators and positioners including deadband testing.
