An exciting new vacancy has arisen aligned to the continued growth of our Company for the role of Valve Fitter in the Engineering Industry at our Workshop in Alloa.

Requirements:

  • Overhaul of valves to meet customer requirements, including dismantle, repair and rebuild of valves on customer sites and in the workshop.

Objectives:

  • Dismantle the received equipment.
  • Liaise with supervisors to return identified equipment to a serviceable condition and to the relevant specifications.
  • Accountable for the part and full assembly of identified equipment, and assist with pressure testing.
  • Carry out various mechanical fitting activities with flexibility and integrity, working efficiently to achieve “on time delivery” and “quality” targets to company processes and/or procedures.
  • A pro-active approach to health, safety and environmental practices in the workshop and at customer sites at all times by adopting our key safety values.
  • Ensure all pre-safety checks are completed, and that all equipment and guarding is maintained to a high standard, where appropriate liaising with Team Leader/Supervisor.
  • Ensure that suitable Pre-Job Briefs and POWRAs are completed and relevant to the task.
  • Work with Team Leader/Supervisor to ensure accurate and on time completion of equipment repairs.
  • Complete strip down reports, assembly rebuild records, Quality Plans and Workshop Instructions where applicable.
  • Ensure a high level of housekeeping and that your work area is visitor ready at all times using 6S Techniques.
  • Actively participate where required to support the business continuous improvement projects.
  • Fully comply with Trillium and customer HSEQ procedures, including compliance with the requirements of the Trillium Corporate Responsibility / Duty of care document.
  • Participate in the achievement of all daily/weekly objectives.
  • Adopt a positive attitude with a professional respect for fellow work colleagues.

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Time served craftsperson up to NVQ Level 3.
  • Suitable experience in the overhaul and maintenance of Safety, Parallel Slide & Butterfly Valves (and Control valves if deemed applicable).
  • Valve overhaul and maintenance experience.
