Electrical Field Service Engineer - Plcs/Drives in Stafford

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer for a market leading business within the Corrugation Industry who install and service equipment across sites in the UK and Ireland, This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Electrical maintenance based role within an manufacturing environment.

Candidates will be time served ( Minimum NVQ Level 3) Qualified in Electrical engineering – 17th / 18th Edition would be advantageous. Experience of working on large scale production equipment is a must. Candidates must also have experience strong working knowledge of Siemens PLCS (S5/ S7 or TIA) and Variable Speed Drives (Lenze/ ABB)

This is primarily a Days based role with current staff working on site 37.5 hours per week + Overtime + Travel. Candidates can manage their own workload but will require weekend work.

All travel time is paid door to door + all additional hours paid at premium rates – Realistic Earnings up to £75k

The role will cover sites across the UK so a willingness to travel is required.

This role would ideally suit a candidate with a demonstrable maintenance background looking to develop and progress into a field service based role.

Role Description

• Provide support to client sites across the UK and Ireland.
• Support in Installation and Commissioning of machinery
• Support Customer\’s systems to aid in improving productivity.
• Fault finding and rectification of PLC\’s – Siemens S7
• Maintenance – Routine and Reactive maintenance covering all aspects of electrical work including VSD (Lenze/ABB)
• Training – Operational and maintenance training of customer staff

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a industrial manufacturing environment is a must
• Experience working on Corrugators is highly advantageous
• Field Service Experience – advantageous
• Candidates must be time served and qualified in Electrical Engineering
• 17th or 18th Edition would be advantageous
• Strong working knowledge of PLC\’s – Siemens S7
• Strong working knowledge of Drives (Lenze/ ABB) and Motors
• Strong customer service mind set
• Willing to travel as required to sites in the UK and Ireland.
