We’re recruiting for a proactive, organised Despatch Operative to join our fast‑paced manufacturing client based near Baildon/ Shipley. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a warehouse/dispatch role within a manufacturing/engineering environment. If you enjoy keeping things moving, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a hands‑on role where no two days are the same, this could be a great fit. This is a full time permanent role, available for an immediate start.
Hours – Mon – Friday 40 hours Flexible start between 5:30–8:30am | Flexible finish between 4:30–7:30pm
What you’ll be doing:
- Raising purchase orders for suppliers and treatments
- Using our ERP system daily (POs, delivery manifests, tracking, stock levels)
- Packing and shipping parts safely and correctly, including arranging courier collections
- Working closely with our van driver to ensure all parts are ready for next‑day treatments
- Maintaining packaging stock levels and preventing shortages
- Booking returned parts into stock with full and accurate paperwork
- Supporting monthly stock checks
- Liaising with production and planning to ensure on‑time, in‑full customer deliveries
- Keeping your workspace clean and free from FOD
- Flagging any health & safety concerns promptly
What we’re looking for:
- A positive, reliable team player with a great attitude
- Someone organised, tidy, and comfortable in a busy environment
- Experience using an ERP system (ideal but not essential)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to support a small, close‑knit team
- Forklift licence preferred but not required
