Due to an increase in workload and continued company growth, we are recruiting a number of CNC Millers to join our client on a permanent basis near Shipley. The company is increasing capacity by expanding their day shift. Successful candidates will ideally be time served to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications.

Candidates will be required to set and operate 3 + 5 axis CNC Millers utilising Fanuc/ Siemens / Heidenhain controls; therefore, experience with one or more of these systems is a must. Various shifts available: either 40 hours over 5 days or 4 days, 44 hours over 4 ½ days, or 48 hours over 5 days. Start time and finish flexible within 5:30am/8:30am start and 4:30pm/7:30pm finish.

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Setting and operating CNC Millers using proven programs and tooling.
  • Fanuc/ Siemens controls experience.
  • Running multiple machines and working with multiple materials.
  • Performing in-process inspection using hand measuring equipment and CMM.
  • Maintaining the machine on a daily basis including coolant conditioning to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Keeping the working area clean, tidy and organised.
  • Training/mentoring of new apprentices and new starters.

Candidate Skills:

  • Time-served with demonstrable experience operating a CNC Miller working to very tight tolerances.
  • Experience using Fanuc/ Siemens / Heidenhain controls to set and operate the machine.
  • Experience working on a range of materials including Stainless, Aluminium, and Titanium.
