We are looking for an experienced fettler / grinder to join a busy manufacturing business in Sheffield. This is a permanent role available for an immediate start. The successful candidate will have a background working within a similar role within a fabrication-based environment.
Hours: 07:30–15:30 Mon–Thu / 07:30–12:00 Fri. OT available at premium rates and the chance to join a growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Grinding, finishing, and dressing fabricated components
- Removing excess material and surface imperfections
- Operating hand-held power tools and fettling equipment safely
- Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous fettling, grinding, or metal finishing experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Awareness of workplace health and safety practices
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong teamwork
