Our client, a leading manufacturing client based in Newcastle, are looking to recruit a Semi Skilled Technician to join the business initially on a 12 month fixed term basis due to business growth. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting production with rigging, slinging and lifting of equipment within production areas.
Candidates will hold a full UK driving licence, forklift licence (16T FLT desirable), crane licence and slinging.
Working hours: Thursday 6:30am to 3:00pm / Friday 6:30am to 12:00pm. Any overtime worked over 37.5 hours per week are paid at premium rates to boost earnings.
Key Responsibilities:- Rigging, slinging and lifting of equipment within production areas.
- Responsible for general workshop housekeeping duties (e.g. sweeping up, floor cleaning, bin emptying, etc.).
- Assisting production technicians in daily duties.
- Local driving duties to drop off and pick up items.
