Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit for a Tendering / Proposals Engineer for a leading engineering company based near East Kilbride. This provides a rare opportunity to join a leading company who are a household name within their industry allowing you to gain exposure to a large variety of different sectors including MOD, O&G, Marine and Power Generation.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a tendering team producing comprehensive technical and commercial RFQ’s on a range of mechanical products, focused around rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will be a minimum HNC/ HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of rotating equipment: Compressors/ Turbines/ Pumps. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and turn around quotes in a timely manner is a must for this role.
Role Description- Provide a customer-focused service that delivers proposals to clients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Act as focal point for receipt and completion of tender requests for spare parts, projects & service agreements.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers & internal business units to develop compliant bid submission.
- Expedite bid actions from internal/external sources and manage workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Initiate responses to enquiries/requests in line with established company standards/procedures.
