The predicted salary is between 25000 - 35000 Β£ per year.

We are currently recruiting for a Production Coordinator to join an extremely busy Manufacturing Engineering client based North of York. This position has been created due to an increased workload and the client is looking to add to its support function to aid production. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a production admin/coordination based role within an engineering/manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be required to help coordinate the release of production orders from stores to the shop floor.

Hours - Monday - Thursday (Apply online only) / Friday (Apply online only)

Role Description:

  • Co-ordinate released production orders from stores to the shop floor.
  • Locate and track kits before and during project builds, then close out remaining actions.
  • Take responsibility for signing for kits from stores, updating the tracker and highlight any issues.
  • Take responsibility for signing for shortages from stores, updating the tracker and highlight any issues.
  • Deal with day-to-day requests from the lead hands and technicians using Business Central ERP system.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure sub-assemblies and products are ready in a timely manner.
  • Expedite parts through the business.
  • Output and issue job cards in a timely manner.
  • Report any issues back to the production manager in a timely manner.
  • Co-ordinate with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Build product knowledge quickly through understanding of the product with in-house training.
  • Capable of working with limited supervision.
  • Ensure good organisation and housekeeping.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience within a Production Admin/Coordination role within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
  • Good understanding of an MRP system - ideally Navision.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook literate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
