We are recruiting for a Mechanical Facilities Engineer to work for a leading Manufacturing business in Preston. You will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on a day-to-day basis across the site. You will also be responsible for statutory compliance including daily checks on steam plant and L8 testing. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in maintaining building fabric within commercial/industrial environments.
You will be required to carry out daily checks on Steam Plant on site which you will be fully trained on – Steam Boiler/BOAS qualifications would be advantageous but will also be provided for the right person. Candidates will ideally be qualified in a mechanical discipline.
Hours: Mon – Friday 8AM – 4PM
Responsibilities:
- PPM maintenance
- Reactive maintenance
- Carry out test, servicing, diagnostic, repairs and calibrate advanced electrical and mechanical installations
- Work safely and in accordance with Health and Safety procedures
- Perform maintenance tasks and other associated tasks on any part of the site as and when required
- Operate as part of an effective professional maintenance team
Skills & Attributes:
- Time Served Engineer – qualified in a mechanical discipline with experience in maintaining building fabric, plumbing etc.
- Experience preferably in a similar Facilities Management/Building Services background
- Steam Plant experience/BOAS qualifications would be advantageous
- Knowledge of L8 Management
