Due to continued company growth, my client, a leading engineering company based near Market Weighton, is looking to recruit a Junior Quality Inspector to join their existing team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be required to carry out post-production quality inspection and commissioning of products before delivery to clients. Moving forwards, candidates will be given the opportunity to work in the field with clients to be involved in warranty repairs and customer relations. Ideally, candidates will be qualified in a mechanical discipline; however, individuals with experience will be considered. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in quality/commissioning – training will be provided for the right candidate moving forward. This position is based on days and available for an immediate start. Hours: Mon – Friday - 0830-1700.

Role Description:

  • Inspect Good Inwards against assignments and assembled products.
  • Perform mechanical inspections for components and completed assemblies using Dimensional Measuring equipment (Micrometer/Verniers).
  • Complete all necessary documentation according to the company’s requirements (including timesheets, ECN etc.).

Skills & Attributes:

  • Time served in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience as a Quality Inspector within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment - advantageous.
  • Keen eye for detail.
