Our client, a leading manufacturer to the Oil and Gas industry, are looking to recruit a Hydraulics Design Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. This recruitment drive is due to order books continually expanding and needing additional staff to manage the workload.

The successful candidates will provide engineering design and support functions in relation to aftermarket support functions and overhaul projects for service.

The successful candidate will be Degree qualified within a Mechanical/Hydraulic discipline with a sound understanding of Hydraulic principles and applications.

Hours: Mon - Thurs 08:30 - 17:30 / Friday 08:30 - 12:30. Hybrid working after 3 months is available - minimum 3 Days in office.

Role Description:
  • Producing hydraulic designs from technical specifications
  • Producing calculations and supporting design documents such as FMEA
  • Working closely with electrical, software and mechanical design engineers, to produce well-integrated machines
  • Creating Bills of Materials for your designs and liaising with purchasing and production personnel
  • Being involved with assembly, commissioning and testing of machinery
  • Assisting with sales activities and warranty/service support of existing equipment
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Hydraulic engineering related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience working within a Hydraulic design role
  • Experienced in use of Autocad/Autodesk Inventor
