Mechanical Fitter - Days

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for a number of Mechanical Fitters to join a global manufacturer based near Rochdale The successful candidates will be required to read engineering drawings to assemble products with a variety of different mechanical principles. This may include mechanical assembly, hydraulics and pneumatic components. The ideal person will be a well rounded Mechanical Engineer, this is not just assembly fitting. Interested candidates must be Time Served with demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing assembly based environment. Experience working with larger products is advantageous. Hours – Mon to Thurs, 8:00-4:30, Fri 07:45-3:15 All OT Paid at premium rates – OTE of £40k + These roles are available for an immediate start! The Role * Carrying out assembly of products in line with standard operating procedures and relevant standards. * Carrying out testing of products to specified product methods and in line with standards and procedures and health and safety requirements. * Liaising with supervisors on quality issues arising from manufacturing. * Ensuring that all tools/machines used are fit for purpose and reporting any problems to Supervision immediately. * Recommending and carrying out any improvements in line with the company’s continuous improvement program. * Working at all time within Health and Safety guidelines…
