We are recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join a Niche manufacturing client in based near Driffield/ Bridlington on a permanent basis. Successful candidates must be time-served or able to demonstrate a competency through experience to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications. Candidates must have experience working with a range of manual machinery including Lathes, Millers. Materials will include Stainless, Aluminium and Plastics Hours – 8AM -5.15PM Monday to Thursday/ 8AM -1PM Fridays Due to the nature of the work produced, candidates must be a UK National and be able to obtain SC Clearance. The Ideal candidates will have : * Experience working within a machine shop environment machining one-offs, prototypes and small to medium production batches * The ability to read, understand and work to engineering drawings. overhead crane operating experience The ability to manipulate any of the following: * Manual Lathe * Manual Miller * Candidate Skills * Ideally Time-served * Demonstrable experience operating a Manual Lathe and Miller to tight tolerances.
