The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the North West, is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join the business on a permanent basis due to continued growth.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Project Management and Contracts Management within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to see a project from cradle to grave while engaging with all stakeholders. Candidates will be required to oversee all aspects of the projects from Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, to Shipping.
Ideally, candidates will have experience working within a Manufacturing Engineering/Assembly-based environment. Exposure to Fabrication and Machining is essential. Experience working within Nuclear, Oil & Gas, or Defence sectors is also essential.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Flexible)
This role is available for an immediate start and is based at the site in Oldham.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed plans for each phase of the project, defining objectives, deliverables, deadlines, and required resources, and coordinating activities of different teams.
- Resource Management: Allocate human, financial, and material resources necessary for project execution, optimizing their use and ensuring their availability throughout the project.
- Budget and Schedule Tracking: Monitor planned expenses and schedules, identifying and resolving any variances from initial forecasts, and taking corrective actions if necessary to meet project objectives.
- Team Coordination: Supervise and motivate project team members, guiding them in performing their tasks, resolving potential conflicts, and fostering collaboration and communication among different project stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage potential risks associated with nuclear projects, implementing appropriate mitigation measures to minimize their impact on safety, security, and project success.
This role is instrumental in ensuring that nuclear projects are delivered in accordance with industry expectations and requirements, plans and controls are adhered to, progress is tracked, milestones are achieved, and project issues and risks are managed with minimal impact on project plans.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in project management and streamlining projects already in process.
- Experience working within a manufacturing engineering environment.
- Exposure to Fabrication/Machining would be ideal.
- Ability to bring multiple departments together to ensure on-time delivery of the project.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
