We are currently recruiting an Applications Engineer to join an industry leading Machine Tool business to be involved in support of specialist CNC EDM machine tool systems around the country. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between customers and the engineering teams, to support in machine specification and testing, fixture design and Factory acceptance testing.
Interested candidates will be time served in an engineering related field with a demonstrable background working within Applications Engineering / Production Engineering. Knowledge of EDM Machining including Die Sinking and Wire EDM is a must. Candidates will be required to work from site near Coventry but also required to travel to sites across the UK therefore a Full UK Clean UK driving license is required.
Hours - Monday - Friday 37 hours basic + Travel time is paid + all global travel is paid at x1.3 Realistic OTE of 55k + Package includes Company vehicle and Private Health Care.
Role Description- Serve as the technical point of contact with Customers to be involved in taking machines from set up, testing and delivery.
- Develop and implement machining strategies for client requirements.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and training for customers including set up of machine once installed.
- Delivering a Turnkey Engineering Package includes CNC programming (ISO and CAM), prove-out, attaining First Article Inspection and completing all Acceptance Criteria.
- Qualified in a related engineering field.
- Demonstrable experience working as an Applications Engineer / Production Engineer or Tool Setter within a machine tool environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Wire EDM and Sink EDM.
- Full UK Driving License and Passport.
- Strong Communication skills.
