We are currently recruiting a Machine Tool Service Engineer to join a leading engineering company involved in the design, build and installation of CNC Machinery across the globe. This successful candidate will be required to install, service and repair high value 5-axis equipment at customer sites across the UK, covering all aspects of both mechanical and electrical work.
Interested candidates will ideally be time served with a strong electrical background and working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Demonstrable experience working with machine tools is a must. Candidates will also have a strong working knowledge of PLCs and CNC Controls (Siemens/Fanuc). Candidates will be required to travel to sites across the UK; therefore, a Full UK Clean driving license is required.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours
Role Description:
- Install, service, and repair electro-mechanical high value 5-axis equipment/machinery at customer sites following drawings, manufacturer’s instructions and customer specifications, utilising knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical machinery.
- Operate equipment/machinery through installation and commissioning to ensure that performance, quality and rate of running meet specifications.
- Train customer personnel on maintaining, adjusting and repairing equipment/machinery.
- Repair worn or defective equipment/machinery.
- Fault-find and diagnose equipment set-up and performance issues.
