We are looking to recruit a Skilled Electrician to join an expanding business in Bradford. The role will require the successful candidate to carry out high quality electrical installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and fault finding works on commercial and industrial fuel systems. The Electrician will support service and project installations nationwide, maintaining strong customer relationships through professional workmanship and excellent service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out electrical installation works including cabling, containment, control panels and associated equipment in line with project specifications and drawings.
- Conduct electrical inspection and testing in accordance with current regulations and company procedures.
- Diagnose electrical faults using a structured fault-finding approach and carry out effective repairs.
- Support commissioning of fuel storage, pumping and dispensing systems.
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across customer sites.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation accurately.
- Ensure full compliance with RAMS and all health and safety legislation.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail at all times.
- Create and submit accurate job reporting and certification in a timely manner.
- Adhere to safe disposal of hazardous waste and site housekeeping standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Full clean driving license.
- Recognized electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Strong experience in electrical installation and maintenance within commercial or industrial environments.
- Proven electrical fault finding and diagnostic ability.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Competent working to RAMS and safe systems of work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- Willingness to work away from home during the week.
- Capability of obtaining high level security clearance where required.
Desirable:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience working within fuel storage or hazardous environments.
- Experience with fuel dispensing pumps or control systems.
- Knowledge of panel wiring and commissioning activities.
- SSSTS or SMSTS / CSCS.
- Confined Space training.
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
