Business Need / Purpose of Role: To carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance activities @ AESOps WwTW as part of an established site-based maintenance team.

Objectives & Measurement Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive site maintenance management regime.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and O&M manuals.
  • A strong electrical fault finding capability.
  • A strong team working ethic with a flexible working approach.
  • Experience working with PLCs, star/delta startups.
  • Assist with the development of Apprentice worker(s).
  • Provide assistance to mechanical fitters and ad hoc duties as and when required.

Measurement: Consistently provides high standard, high quality electrical & mechanical support to the established site based maintenance team.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications:

  • Time served Electrician, qualified to IEE Regulations 18th Edition.
  • WwTW maintenance experience preferred but not essential.
  • Good communicator with the ability to effectively present information in written and verbal format.
  • Training and competency with regards to the safe isolation of electrical and mechanical equipment essential.
  • Training and qualifications related to LOLAR, PUWER and DSEAR regulations an advantage.
  • HV competency desirable but not essential.

Physical Demands: Ability to work at height and in confined spaces. Physically demanding role.

Work Environment: Ability to work on own initiative at all times/or as part of team as appropriate.
