We are currently recruiting for a Logistics and Compliance Coordinatorto join an extremely busy Manufacturing Engineering client based near Pickering.

This position has been created due to an increased work load and the client is looking to grow its current team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role with exposure to dealing with Import/ Export documentation for international distribution ideally within an engineering / manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be required to work with the Import/ Export Compliance Manager and Logistics team to enable global shipment of its products.

Interested candidates must have a demonstrable background in this field those without will not be considered for this role.

Candidates will ideally be degree education within a business admin or similar discipline however those with a lesser qualification and experience to accompany will be considered. Successful candidates will also be given the opportunity to gain a professional Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Export.

Hours – Monday – Thurs 0830 – 1630 / Fri 0830 1600

All OT Paid at Premium rates Monday Sunday

Role Description

To provide import and export documentation in accordance with international trade requirements as specified by the business.

Identify and assign the appropriate commodity code classification.

Coordinate with relevant departments within the company to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods

Ability to confidently communicate complex logistics requirements with international clients verbally and written.

The management of road freight in the UK and EU.

Administrative support for Import/Export Compliance Manager

oProcessing Export licence applications

oAssistance with maintaining of Russian sanction related vendor certs & renewals annually.

oCompiling Shipment specific certifications (Russia) where required

oAECC renewals under guidance from Import Export Compliance Manager

oAssisting with the provision of relevant files for Internal Audit

Execute all tasks in compliance with Health and Safety regulations, company policies and procedures, while practicing efficient work methods and always maintaining high housekeeping standards

Fulfill any other reasonable requests made by the company to accommodate fluctuations in workload

Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrable experience within a Logistics Compliance role ideally within an engineering/ manufacturing environment.
  • Ideally degree qualified in a Business Admin orrelevant discuple less qualifications and suitable experience will be considered.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
  • Good understanding of an MRP system. – ideally MS Dynamics Navision
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook literate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
