The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are currently recruiting for an HSEQ Manager to join an extremely busy and expanding Manufacturing Engineering client based near Pickering .

This is a full time permanent role available for an immediate start.

Candidates must have strong people skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of staff and look to truly educate staff in relation to QHSE process.

The role will primarily focus on maintenance and improvement the ISO 9001/ISO 45001 and 14001/14004 standards on site along with IEC 17020

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within a similar role with exposure to working within a Manufacturing Engineering environment with an understanding and appreciation for risk and hazards within this type of working environment. Candidates will be NEBOSH general certificate qualified ideally with internal audit qualifications in one of more areas

Package including Car allowance, Company bonus , 25 days leave and private health care

Hours 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4pm Friday

Role Description

Maximise the awareness of HSQE focussing on continuous performance improvement in safety initiatives

Ensure effective auditing tools, processes and resources are in place and being effectively utilised to support the continuous improvement process

Shape and improve current HSQE strategies, policies, systems and procedures whilst ensuring compliance to company policy and regulating authority standards

Act as mentor, trainer, advisor and communicator not only within the HSQE team but across the entire workforce creating a maximum impact on the value of embracing positive HSQE behavioural attitudes.

From an HSQE perspective, act as a focal point with clients and suppliers providing the required support

Assist in the delivery of company policies and procedures, supporting and implementing initiatives where required

Support the provision of occupational health and Health & Wellbeing within the business, under the direction of the Operations Manager with the support from the Company Environment and H&S Manager

Support the communication and promotion of the monthly themes

Provide consistent and accurate HSQE advice to site teams where applicable

Provide support on HSQE issues/problems

Ensure effective measurement of safety performance, implementing audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and analysis providing communications and statistics

Produce regional HSQE statistics monthly, identify trends and take proactive initiatives

Dynamically lead and motivate the team members under your control and mentor to allow professional development

Provide support and focus to the site teams on our Be Right First-Time initiatives and monitoring our Quality Control

Attend Client HSQE Forums as required and provide lessons learnt feedback and sharing of best practices

Produce and communicate HSQE alerts following incidents and poor-quality standards to promote learning and prevention and continual improvement

Support the Head of Operations in maintaining HSQE performance statistics monthly as requested

Deliver awareness training and lead site standdowns

Compliance management of all ISO certifications and other relevant standards required by the facility

Lead the development and maintenance of Quality assurance throughout the business

Lead the Quality Control department and provide support to the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and continuously improving receiving inspection process and procedures.

Champion departmental SOPs, Internal SLAs, creating and setting of KPIs and initiatives

Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrable experience within asimilar QHSE role within anengineering/ manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001
  • Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate
  • Internal Auditor Qualifications (9001, 14001 or 45001) – Lead auditor qualifications advantageous
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook literate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
