We are currently seeking a Trainee or Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for patient care and a keen interest in developing their skills in a clinical environment. Immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality chairside assistance to dentists during all clinical procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-prepared surgery in accordance with infection control and health & safety protocols (HTM 01-05, CQC standards)
- Accurately update and maintain patient records, including charting and medical histories
- Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment following cross-infection protocols
- Ensure the correct handling of radiographs in line with IR(ME)R and IRR regulations
- Support patient comfort and care, including assisting in emergencies and communicating sensitively with patients of all backgrounds
- Assist with stock control, ordering materials, and ensuring availability of clinical supplies
- Liaise with dental laboratories to manage timely dispatch and receipt of lab work
- Adhere to all confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding guidelines
- Participate in practice meetings, audits, compliance checks, and CPD activities
- Provide occasional reception or administrative support as needed
- Follow all practice policies and maintain a professional appearance in line with uniform and PPE guidelines
- Knowledge and experience with dental software such as Dentally is an advantage

- Confidence in using various dental tools and equipment
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
- Good time management and punctuality
- Previous dental experience is an advantage
