You will coach 35-45 apprentices through a 16 month programme that builds real AI capability in the workplace. Not theory, practical skills they will use in their actual jobs. Your apprentices will work on live projects in their companies. You will guide them through the problem solving, the analysis, and the implementation. You will help them get good at breaking down business challenges and using AI tools to solve them properly. This is coaching, not teaching. You are there to challenge, support, and push them to deliver work that matters.

What You Will Do

  • Coach and develop
  • Run 1:1 sessions and group workshops
  • Guide learners through progressive workplace projects (from foundations through to strategic implementation)
  • Give written feedback on their work and portfolio development
  • Track progress and make sure they are on track for End Point Assessment
  • Keep standards high
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted and ESFA requirements
  • Complete initial assessments, learning plans, and reviews
  • Prepare learners for gateway and EPA
  • Safeguard learner welfare and report any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Work with employers
  • Build relationships with apprentice line managers
  • Align projects to what actually matters in their organisation
  • Keep employers informed and engaged
  • Stay sharp
  • Keep up with AI tools and how they are being used in the real world
  • Help improve the curriculum based on what is working
  • Contribute to team planning and delivery

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or training adults in professional settings
  • A solid grasp of AI concepts and how they apply in practice
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and juggle multiple learners
  • Willingness to keep learning about AI as it evolves
  • Experience with e-portfolio systems (OneFile, Aptem, Magn8)
  • Background in business analysis, project management, or process improvement
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools or workplace AI projects
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship delivery, ESFA funding, or Ofsted frameworks
  • Familiarity with EPA and occupational standards
  • Teaching or assessing qualification (TAQA, Cert Ed)

What Good Looks Like

  • Your learners pass EPA and go on to do good work
  • Employers see real value from the projects your apprentices deliver
  • Your compliance records are inspection ready
  • Learners rate you highly and stay engaged
  • You are helping the team get better at what we do
  • You are on top of safeguarding and welfare responsibilities

Why This Role Matters

AI is everywhere, but most organisations are struggling to make it work. This programme exists to fix that, by developing people who can bridge the gap between AI tools and real business problems. As a coach, you will be working at the front line of that shift. You will see your apprentices go from uncertain beginners to confident practitioners who deliver measurable impact in their roles. You will help organisations get better at using AI, one learner at a time. If you want to work on something that is genuinely useful, with people who are learning fast and applying it immediately, this is it.
