Role Description
The Management Information System Officer is a full-time role based in Liverpool with a hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site and work-from-home duties.
The role involves managing and maintaining key information systems to support reporting, compliance, and performance monitoring across training programs.
Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, validating, and updating learner and course data; producing regular management information reports and dashboards; and analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
The officer will collaborate with operational and academic teams to ensure accurate data entry, streamline information flows, and support effective decision-making.
Additional tasks include troubleshooting data issues, helping implement system improvements, and ensuring data security and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Information Systems and Management Information Systems (MIS), including experience working with databases or reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Data Management and Information Management, with the ability to organize, maintain, and retrieve accurate learner and organizational data.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Competence in using office and data analysis software (e. g., spreadsheets, reporting platforms, CRM or MIS systems).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and support colleagues in using information systems correctly.
- Experience in an education, training, or not-for-profit environment is beneficial.
- Relevant qualification in information systems, data management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
