Must have:

  • In-depth knowledge of BS 5839-1
  • Strong experience in commissioning large networked addressable fire alarm systems
  • Ability to fault-find and resolve complex issues across multiple system types
  • Competent with cause-and-effect testing, loop load calculations, and integration with other systems
  • Proficiency in using commissioning software tools and configuring control panels
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, consultants, and end-users
  • Ability to lead a small team of engineers and mentor junior staff
  • Proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Capable of attending client/site meetings and providing technical updates
