Paying up to £70k What can you expect as an employee: Competitive salary and benefits The ideal candidate would have: National Grid Gas or National Gas transmission experience. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Emergency First Aid at Work CSCS Level 1 in Health and Safety on a Construction Site National Grid Person SHEA Gas Full UK Driving Licence About the role: Management of perimeter security installations on National Grid Critical National Infrastructure sites. Management of teams of operatives Production of construction programmes and weekly meetings with the principal contractor to ensure the programme dates were being met. Ordering of plant and materials for each site Compilation of documents for the purpose of quality assurance. This included commissioning documentation, cable dead test results, Power Fence live testing results, concrete delivery tickets, signed inspection test plans, signed inspection test certificates, delivery tickets for materials and plant. Production of SHEQ documentation such as task specific risk assessments and method statements, assistance in the production of construction phase plans, quality plans, waste management plans, production of inspection test plans and inspection test certificates. Ensuring projects were installed to the relevant technical specifications and SSOR’s. Liaising with the principal contactor as well as the client to ensure the project was being delivered safely and efficiently in a cost-effective manner. Planning of projects and ensuring there are the correct competencies on site, such as competent persons, CPCS machine drivers, HSG47 trained operatives, 18th edition engineers etc. Dealing with any technical queries from the projects and any issues which arose onsite. Production of red lined drawings which would then be checked by the client and the principal contractor. Production of quotations and compilation of tenders.
