The ideal candidate would have:

  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification
  • City and Guilds level 2 & 3 Electrical Installations
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (preferable, training may be provided for the right candidate)
  • Previous electrical experience required in a domestic environment
  • Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A good level of IT literacy

About the role:

This client is a trusted compliance safety company carrying out tests/services to ensure customer properties are safe and meet current legislations. They currently maintain, service and repair over 70,000 housing association and local authority properties across the UK.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work in line with Health and Safety Regulations, reporting near misses, incidents and accidents
  • Carry out fixed wire installation tests (EICR) at clients’ premises
  • Rectify faults reported on the fixed wire installation test (EICR)
  • Accurately submit all relevant certification via tablet utilizing bespoke software
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (between 8:00 am‑5:00 pm) with the opportunity to work after 5:00 pm and on weekends
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
