- Key Objectives of the Role
- Ensure that all prebuilt / preconfigured solutions / systems and hardware is configured and setup in line with Manufacturer, IT and Cyber best practices
- Provide responsive, hands on support for our field-based engineers, systems and customers
- Commissioning support for our professional services team
- Maintain documentation for processes, systems, assets, and credentials
- Play a key role in transitioning legacy systems to new solutions

In this role, you’ll
- Preconfigure and prebuild of security / IT systems before they ship to customer sites. This will involve setting up networks, servers, workstations and a variety of IOT devices.
- FAT testing of systems and solutions in our Manchester facility.
- Commissioning support for our professional services team – This will involve working with the customer to extract requirements and data from existing systems, designing a migration methodology and then migrating information into new systems in the required formats.
- Provide remote technical support via service desk / telephone / OOH for field-based engineering teams.
- Support platform / system / security upgrades on customer / hosted / maintained systems.
- Maintain / Create documentation for systems and processes.
- Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience (Required to perform the job)
Essential
- Good understanding of IP Networking, switches, firewalls, routers and VPNs.
- IT Support / helpdesk experience
- Experience of Patching, System upgrades, Remote access support
- Strong communication and a self-driven approach
Desirable
- Experience with FAT testing
- Familiarity with SQL / Database technologies
- Experience integrating platforms and systems
- Active certifications in relevant Security / IT / Networking areas
- Personal Qualities
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, small-team environment
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to own transport
