Fire & Security Role: Are you an Associate Director of Fire Engineering working with complex fire engineering projects, fire strategies and technical consultancy ?

The ideal candidate would have:

  • A strong background in fire engineering consultancy
  • Excellent knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance and standards
  • Strong experience producing and reviewing fire strategies
  • Experience managing projects, budgets, programmes and resources
  • Confidence managing client relationships and working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineers
  • A commercial mindset and an interest in business development
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • The confidence to take ownership of projects and client relationships

Qualifications:

  • Chartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageous

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director of Fire Engineering to join a growing and ambitious fire consultancy in London or Manchester .

This position would suit an established Associate or an experienced Principal Fire Engineer ready to take the next step into a senior leadership role.

You will lead complex fire engineering projects from inception through to completion, providing technical leadership and strategic fire engineering advice while supporting and mentoring engineers within the team.

Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and other design professionals, you will develop pragmatic and commercially aware fire engineering solutions.

Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing fire strategies and technical documentation, managing project budgets and programmes, developing client relationships, supporting business development and representing the consultancy at client meetings and industry events.

You will also play an important role in the continued growth of the fire engineering team and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the consultancy.
