The ideal candidate would have:
- Preferred certification as an FIA Fire Detection and Alarm Advanced Designer.
- Strong understanding of BS5839 and familiarity with other relevant safety and compliance standards.
- At least 5 years of experience in fire system design, with additional skills in project estimating, cost modelling, and proposal writing.
- High proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience with CAD and familiarity with BIM technologies.
- Experience with Bluebeam also advantageous.
- Requirement to complete nationwide site surveys. CSCS advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and precision in both technical and financial documentation.

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Fire System Designer with a robust blend of technical and estimating expertise.
The successful person will be working on projects within MEP building services including Nuclear, Data Centres, Hospitals and Commercial Buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Design fire detection and alarm systems, voice alarm systems, emergency voice communication systems, and disabled assistance systems in compliance with BS5839 and related standards.
- Produce detailed CAD/PDF drawings and specifications.
- Perform financial analyses using Excel, developing cost models and project estimates.
