Are you an experienced Fire and Security Engineer looking to upskill as an apprenticeship tutor? This role offers a basic salary starting at £37,000, with the potential to earn up to £40,000, along with a performance-related bonus, access to the company’s pension scheme, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Fire and Security engineer to pass on their knowledge to the next generation and those who are looking for a change. A leading provider of apprenticeships to the Fire and Security sector is looking to recruit enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate FESST Tutors (internally called Learning Skills Coaches or LSC) on a full-time basis.
About you:
Reporting to the FESST Curriculum Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of sector-defined Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours to the next generation of engineers and/or those looking to change career. You should be organised and methodical with a strong attention to detail, and you must be willing to work within the stipulated parameters of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted, with the learners' journey as a focus in all you do.
You should be energetic, professional, remain calm under pressure, and be able to adapt to and support change. An eagerness to learn your new role, along with the ability and confidence to use your own initiative, will underpin a positive approach to your work.
In return, you will be given a competitive salary with incremental uplifts on successful completion of mandatory training, a performance-related bonus, access to the company’s pension scheme, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays each year.
