Are you a Fire Alarm & AOV Commissioning Engineer working with fire alarm and automatic opening vent systems?

The ideal candidate would have:
- Proven fire alarm commissioning experience to BS 5839 standards
- Previous on-site installation and/or commissioning background
- Strong technical understanding of fan motors, inverters, and detection systems
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and make informed decisions on site
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of projects
- Strong IT skills and confidence using digital tools and systems
- Full UK driving licence
About the role:
- Commission and certify Fire Alarm and AOV (Automatic Opening Vent) systems
- Primarily working on London-based client sites, with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays
- Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1 week in every 8)
- Develop, document, and verify cause and effect strategies
- Program, test, and fault-find life safety systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings and site mark-ups
- Liaise with Design, Project Management, and Maintenance teams
- Complete project administration including timesheets, vehicle checks, and expenses
- Finalise commissioning documentation and sign off project certification
- Deliver planned commissioning works and respond to emergency callouts when required
