A nationally recognised fire engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join their growing team. With a diverse project pipeline spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and high-security developments, this is a rare opportunity for a Senior Fire Engineer to work across a range of technically challenging schemes in a flexible, supportive environment. The Senior Fire Engineer's Role

  • Develop performance-based fire strategies in line with ADB, BS 9999, BS 9991, and the Building Safety Act
  • Produce clear, compliant fire strategy reports from concept through to completion
  • Contribute to fire modelling and advanced calculations (CFD experience advantageous)
  • Engage directly with clients, design teams, and authorities across all RIBA stages
  • Conduct site inspections, reviews and risk assessments
  • Support junior team members and technical development initiatives

The Senior Fire Engineer

  • Degree in Fire Engineering or closely related field
  • 3+ years' experience in a UK fire consultancy or multidisciplinary environment
  • Diverse project portfolio
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and codes
  • Progressing towards MIFireE or IEng / CEng status (or actively interested)
  • Proactive and collaborative, with a clear, solution-focused mindset
