THE ROLE — WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

This isn't a tick-box maintenance role. You'll be the expert on site — diagnosing complex faults, optimising high-spec systems, and building genuine trust with high-end clients. You'll own your diary for PPM visits, and have the full backing of our technical team when you need it.

Day-to-day you'll be:

  • Servicing and maintaining integrated fire and security systems across commercial, retail and luxury residential sites
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex faults with an analytical, methodical approach
  • Carrying out regular system performance checks and optimisations
  • Completing accurate service reports and compliance documentation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential:

  • Proven field experience in service engineering — 5 years minimum
  • Fire Security systems preferred
  • Knowledge of NSI/SSAIB and BAFE standards
  • Strong fault-finding ability and comfort reading technical diagrams and manuals
  • Excellent client-facing communication and professionalism
  • Full UK Driving Licence - no more than 6 points
  • Health safety records, ECS/CSCS card
  • NVQ Apprenticeship or equivalent industry qualification
  • FIA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check

Desirable:

  • Advanced diagnostic techniques and fault-finding best practice
  • Experience with remote monitoring platforms and software tools
