The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and strong customer demand, we are working with a well-established fire and security specialist that is expanding its engineering team in London. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants more than just a day-to-day service role. You will act as the lead company representative in the London region, with genuine influence over service delivery and the chance to play a key role in helping establish and grow a new regional operation. You will be joining a collaborative, supportive team that values quality, realistic workloads, and long-term job satisfaction — backed by structured training and clear progression routes into future management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead engineer and company representative across the London area
- Attend reactive call-outs and arrange preventative maintenance visits
- Schedule and manage your own workload, as well as coordinating work for others
- Carry out surveys to support quotations for remedial works
- Liaise daily with clients, fellow engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage receipt and control of stock deliveries
- Commission fire alarm systems
- Service and maintain fire alarm systems, access control systems, and occasional CCTV systems
- Support future growth with opportunities to move into management
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Advanced and Apollo fire systems
- Minimum 5 years' experience working on fire alarm systems
- Proven experience working on large projects
- Ability to work autonomously with a strong track record of self-management
- Competent across access control and CCTV systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to use initiative
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
- Previous experience in a similar role within the fire and security industry
