A fully funded qualification opportunity exists for an experienced Fire and Security engineer to upskill as an apprenticeship tutor and pass on their knowledge to the next generation and those looking for a change.
A leading provider of apprenticeships to the Fire and Security sector is looking to recruit enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate FESST Tutors (internally called Learning Skills Coaches or LSC) on a full-time basis. This organisation received the award for Apprenticeship Provider of the Year in the Manufacturing and Engineering category of the Annual Apprenticeship Awards 2023.
Reporting to the FESST Curriculum Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of sector defined Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours to the next generation of engineers and/or those looking to change career. You should be organised and methodical with a strong attention to detail, and you must be willing to work within the stipulated parameters of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted, with the learners' journey as a focus in all you do.
You should be energetic, professional, remain calm under pressure, and be able to adapt to and support change. An eagerness to learn your new role, along with the ability and confidence to use your own initiative, in addition to being able to work well with others, will underpin a positive approach to your work.
Above all, this role requires an individual with passion and determination to support the organisation in our aim of ensuring our learning goes beyond the academic, vocational and technical, and into the learners' personal lives, preparing them for life in modern Britain.
In return, you will be given a competitive salary starting at £40,000, with incremental uplifts on successful completion of mandatory training, a performance-related bonus, access to the company’s pension scheme, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays each year.
Please note this vacancy is also open to experienced apprenticeship tutors with demonstrable Fire and Security Technician sector experience.
