PR & Marketing Executive / Manager

Location: Hybrid / Covent Garden Office
4 to 5 days per week: flexible working (minimum 2 days required in our office)
Experience: Some previous music industry/ marketing/ PR/ label management experience preferred
Salary: £30 to £33k pa plus pension and health
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and music-loving marketing executive / manager to join the Digital Entertainment and Retail Association team from January 2026. The candidate will work across our portfolio of music industry promotions including Record Store Day and National Album Day alongside ERA member events.
This role would suit someone at the beginning of their career with 1 to 2 years’ experience in the music industry and with a background in Journalism, PR, Marketing, Music Management or similar.
The role will support the Head of PR & Marketing and Digital Marketing Manager with:
- Media and communications strategies
- Crafting impactful press releases, news stories and securing media coverage
- Liaising with participating artists, managers and labels on their Record Store Day and National Album Day campaign activity and products
- Supporting on ERA and Record Store Day events and sponsor activities
- Supporting with presentations to key sponsors and stakeholders
- Working with the PR and social media team to develop content ideas
- Liaising with ERA members and the media
Skills Required Include
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and campaigns
- A passion for and knowledge of music, the entertainment business and entertainment retail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write for different audiences and platforms
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to news and press generation
- Competent with Excel and ability to use PowerPoint and Canva effectively to create presentations
About Us
ERA is the trade body representing digital services and retailers offering music, video and games. Our members include Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud, Amazon, Sky, Deezer and Virgin together with physical retailers including HMV, supermarkets and hundreds of independent record shops.
ERA’s members have been a driving force in using the power of technology to transform the entertainment business and return it to growth, with around 90% of revenues now generated online. At the same time our physical retail members have driven the unexpected revival of vinyl records.
ERA provides the organisational force behind Record Store Day, the annual celebration of independent record stores which has become the most successful new music industry promotion of the past two decades.
