We are looking for a female care assistant in the BALLYMONEY/KILREA AREA with access to a car to work part-time. These shifts will be Mon-Fri, 7am to 2pm.
Experience: Previous care experience is helpful but not essential as full training is provided.
Communication Skills: Strong spoken and written English to follow care plans and communicate effectively.
Drivers License: A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends.
Access NI enhanced disclosure check will be performed for the post. We adhere to the Access NI code of practice. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from obtaining this position. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Personal Care: Support with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming and toilet.
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers in and out of beds etc.
- Use of mobility aids when required.
- Health Medication Support: Assist with medication: administration or reminders as prescribed.
- Support with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Emotional Social Support: Offer companionship, encourage social interaction and help clients stay connected with loved ones.
- Provide reassurance and emotional wellbeing.
- Domestic Assistance: Help with light household tasks including cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Communication Documentation: Record and report changes in health, mood, or behaviour.
- Communicate clearly with family members, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
- Personal Advocacy: Empower individuals to make choices and decisions about their care.
- Ensure clients' rights and dignity are upheld at all times.
