Complete Fertility Limited (CFL) are a leading IVF clinic based on the Hampshire Corporate Park in Eastleigh and is part of the Virtus Health family, one of the world’s leading fertility groups.

Purpose of the role:

The Temp Finance Manager’s responsibility is to support the European Financial Controller (EFC) and the UK Senior Leadership team by providing day-to-day accounting and reporting tasks, driving operational improvements and coaching two junior members of the team. The role is intended to bridge a temporary gap while we are filling the permanent role. Although a short-term assignment, it is a critical role not only for business continuity purposes but to support the EFC and HR department to drive through improvements in Payroll processes.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (Qualified, Qualified by Experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in comparable role (financial control, general accounting, finance manager) with line management experience
  • Passion and ability to seek continual process improvements with a strong interest in system improvement and implementation
  • Inquisitive, highly analytical with a strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Able to build & maintain trust and challenge constructively & respectfully to drive business outcomes
  • Can independently conduct research and compile and analyse data
  • Advanced Excel and accounting system capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills with a pro-active, resourceful mindset
  • High integrity and accountability, owning and driving outcomes
  • Experience with end-to-end payroll process
  • Previous experience with NetSuite and Sage 300 desirable but not a must
  • Comfortable with Hybrid working methods – the European management team are based remotely.

Specific Responsibilities:

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee end-to-end financial control operations at Complete Fertility
  • Reviews into focus areas as required and ongoing tracking of improvement initiatives
  • Supervision, mentoring and development of a Finance Assistant (new) and Credit Controller (experienced)
  • Train new Finance Assistant on AP, DocuSign, Bank postings and other bookkeeping tasks
  • Overall responsibility for NHS billing and supporting the Clinic Manager with ICB (Integrated Care Board) relations in relation to NHS funded treatment
  • Extracting and preparing back up files for submission to ICB approval
  • Creating and uploading invoices in required format
  • Completing or overseeing day to day bookkeeping tasks, including:
  • Bank/Stripe/Ecomm postings and reconciliation
  • VAT returns
  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll journals and analysis
  • Processing Refunds
  • Input into monthly payroll
  • Lead the Financial Year End Audit and liaise with the external accountants
  • The production of reliable weekly and monthly treatment cycle volumes
  • Month-end close tasks and leading monthly P & L reviews with the European Financial Controller
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for a full monthly hard close including
  • deferred income computations
  • prepayments and accruals
  • fixed assets
  • debtor reconciliations and adjustments
  • Challenge current ways of working and help shape the department and improve processes
  • Document existing Process Designs and Mapping
  • Support end-to-end payroll process improvement project
  • Provide input during implementation planned Finance System upgrades and complete user testing as required
  • Undertake any additional duties as required from time to time

  • Running the end-to-end accounts function of the European holding company.
  • Posting Bank Entries and Credit Cards
  • Inter-company reconciliation including and recharges
  • Management Accounts for Virtus Health Europe Ltd
